Our Adoption Center is officially open for business. Drop by for a
tour & take home a loving companion. We are located at 290 Eaton Rd.
The Adoption Center is open to the public on the following schedule:
¨ Monday: By Appointment Only
¨ Tuesday: 11am to 7pm
¨ Wednesday,
Thursday, Friday: 11am to 5pm
¨ Saturday: 10am to 2pm
(Closed Holidays are: Thanksgiving and Christmas)
Since opening in late November 2007, we have rescued over 50 dogs and cats from the county-operated shelter and adopted
them out into new homes. Our goal for 2008 is 250 to 300 animals. Help us keep those numbers growing!
Volunteers are needed to help feed, socialize, and exercise the pets as well as to help with cleaning chores. Please
complete the volunteer application below and send it in to us. We appreciate your interest!
Humane Society of Davie County seeks two van drivers to transport animals to PetSmart
Adoption Fairs two Saturdays each month. Individuals must enjoy working with and caring for dogs and cats. Position
requires a valid NC driver’s license. Interested persons should send resume and application to Humane Society, PO Box

Tree Donations & Memorials
There are some items for which we have a constant need for donations: paper towels, clorox bleach, washing detergent,
dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet tissue, and hand sanitizer. For pet food donations, please consider purchasing Purina
brand dog and cat, puppy and kitten food. We prefer to have the animals on a consistent diet to help them maintain a healthy
digestive system. Thank you for all of your donations!
