Food Lion MVP Cards
What is Food Lion Shop & Share?
Food Lion "Shop & Share" is an easy way to raise money for the HSDC. Each time that you shop at Food Lion and use your MVP card, a portion of your total grocery purchase will be donated to the HSDC. The card must be registered online at www.foodlion.com or call 1-800-210-9569 and give them the MVP number located on the back of your card.
How much money can the Humane Society earn?
At the end of each quarter Food Lion will divide the Funds proportionally among the LionShop & Share organizations depending on their total accumulated sales. Checks are sent to the LionShop & Share organizations approximately six weeks after the quarter ends. In order to receive a check in any quarter, an organization must earn at least $10 during that quarter. A check will be issued once the ten dollar threshold has been reached the following quarters. There will be a cap of $350 per organization per quarter. Quarters run January 1 - March 31; April 1 - June 30; July 1 - September 30; October 1 - December 31.
The HSDC is already participating for the 2008 Year. As of January 1, 2009, we must re-enroll our organization and there is also some required information that must be submitted about each MVP participant for the new 2009 year. We must have at least 25 linked users in order to qualify.
So, please call today and link your MVP card to the Humane Society.
Purina Weight Circles
The Humane Society has enrolled into a new program through Purina that will help us cover our costs of veterinary bills. All you have to do is clip the weight circles of the sides of participating dog and cat foods and mail them into The Humane Society of Davie County or bring them to your vet. We in turn can submit these to Purina and receive checks to cover the cost of vet bills.
Please make sure you send in the weight circles and not UPC bar codes.
