Ready To Adopt?
Deciding to adopt a pet is an important decision. You are making a commitment to care for your dog or cat for as long as fifteen or more years. The pet should fit your lifestyle, energy level, and family situation. The Humane Society makes its adoption decisions based on what we perceive as the best match for the pet.
PET ADOPTION POLICY:
Adoption fees begin at $120.00 for dogs and $60.00 for cats, which includes the spay/neuter of your new family member and their first set of shots including rabies. Dogs in the program are all heartworm negative and the cats are negative for feline leukemia. Remember that the first rabies shot is good for 1 year and the next is good for 3 years if given on time. The distemper combination vaccines for dogs and cats must be given every year. See our Spay and Neuter page for information on financial assistance to Davie County residents for spay/neuter.
All the pets for adoption are very friendly and would make a happy addition to anyone's family. They are all in need of a place they can call their own. Please consider adopting a new companion and give us a call.
