We are thrilled to announce that starting June 1st, HSDC will be available at our new Administrative Office at 162 Webb Way, Advance. This is not a shelter; all HSDC pets will remain in foster care for now.
You can drop off donations and access our resource center in this office. We will continue to serve our community here, and it will be the location for our pet food pantry distribution and low-cost spay/neuter clinic pick-up and drop-off.
We are excited to take this next step and have a location to serve our community better and continue our mission to improve the lives of pets in Davie County and beyond.
Pets of the Month Brad & Bianca
Brad and Bianca, both 2 years, were found in October 2023 roaming near the Winston-Salem airport as strays. A Good Samaritan rescued them, got them vet care and has them in tip-top shape for adoption. They are both learning how to be pet dogs and will need someone dedicated to teaching them house manners and how to walk on a leash. Brad and Bianca are both very sweet in their temperaments and love to get attention. They are a bonded pair, both become nervous and anxious when separated for more than 20 minutes at a time, and will be adopted together.
